The Goode Academy dancers were seen all over Tulsa this week, contributing to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations at the Irish. Their March 17 celebrations began bright and early at KJRH Channel 2. Our dancers were so grateful to have a chance to entertain households across the Tulsa Metropolitan Area. Click on the link below to see our dancers at the KJRH studio.

Later that day, our Dancers performed at 4 area retirement communities, Woodland Hills Mall, and finally at the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration at Kilkennys on Cherry Street. It was a festive day and we thank all of our audiences for encouraging plenty of high kicks and smiles.
The Goode Academy Dancers joyfully danced ”The Walls of Limerick” at the Irish American Club of Tulsa Dinner on March 10. Enjoy!
The Goode Academy was well represented at the Texas State Championships on March 3 in Dallas, Texas.
Congrats to Megan B for placing 1st in adult novice Treble Jig and Reel, and second in adult novice Slip Jig!
Frankie earned 6th place finishes in 15&O novice Reel and Hornpipe, as well as a 5th place in novice Treble Jig.
Mary Claire placed 4th in U11 Beginner II Slip Jig.
Josie placed 1st in U9 Prizewinner Slip Jig, U11 Prizewinner Treble Jig and Hornpipe, and the U10 softshoe special and U10 Traditional set Special.
7 Goode Academy dancers competed in two back to back feisianna in St. Louis this month. The St. Louis Irish Arts feis took place on February 18, and the St. Louis Winterfeis took place on February 19. As you can imagine, with 7 dancers competing in a total of over 35 events the first day (and repeating the same events the next day!) the list of accomplishments is quite long! The list below includes only the best result for each dancer in each event across the two days of competition.
A special congratulations goes to Gracie, who competed in her first two feisianna ever! Gracie was competing in the U 13 Beginner II category, and earned a 2nd in Treble Jig, 3rd in Hornpipe, and 4th in St. Patrick’s Day! What a great way to debut, Gracie! We are so proud of you!
Ellie danced U11 Beginner II and placed 3rd in the Reel, 3rd in the Single Jig, 4th in the Slip Jig, 2nd in the Hornpipe, and 1st in St Patrick’s Day. She also entered the treble Jig as a Novice dancer and earned a 2nd!
Kate was dancing U9 Beginner II and earned 3rd place in her single jig both days. She also earned 1st in both her hornpipe and traditional set! Kate entered 3 dances as U9 novice, and earned placements in all of these events. She earned a 4th in treble jig, 5th (of 24!) in her reel, and 6th (of 22!) in her light jig!
Frankie earned a first place in her single jig event, as well as a 3rd in slip jig and a 3rd in her traditional set. Frankie was dancing O15 Novice.
Josie earned firsts in her reel, slip jig, hornpipe, and traditional set. Josie also earned second place in her treble jig. Josie was dancing U9 Prizewinner.
Kelly earned a 4th place in the hardshoe portion of her Preliminary Champion O18 competition.
Susan earned a 2nd place in the softshoe portion of her Open Champion O18 competition!
Three dancers represented the Goode Academy at Feis New Orleans the weekend of January 14. We are so proud of their accomplishments. What a great way to start the new year!

Michaela, Delaney, Susan, Kelly, Alex, Claire, Mary, Abby and Josie represented the Goode Academy at the first Oireachtas for Goode Academy Dancers. These nine dancers from the Goode Academy travelled to the Southern Region Oireachtas in Orlando, Florida over the first weekend in December. The Goode Academy family is so proud of their hard work and competitive spirit. Oireachtas was a great way to conclude the first year of The Goode Academy.

16 Goode Academy Dancers represented our school at the River Valley Feis in Fort Smith, Arkansas last weekend. We’re proud of everyone’s hard work. Here are the results.
Josie earned firsts in four U9 Novice dances: Reel, Slip Jig, Treble Jig, and Hornpipe. She also earned a 2nd in Traditional Set and 3rds in the Single Jig and Light Jig. Her final achievement was a 4th in the U12 Treble Reel, a contest with 27 competitors!
Kate earned several placements in U9 Beginner II competitions. Of note includes 1st in Treble Jig and 2nd in both the Slip Jig and Light Jig.
Paige brought home several U9 Beginner II awards as well. She placed 2nd in the Hornpipe and Treble Jig, and 3rd in the Light Jig.
Madie earned several placements in her U11 Prizewinner competitions! Congrats to Madie for her first place finish in the Single Jig and third place finishes in Slip Jig, Treble Jig, and Traditional Set.
Ellie brought home a 2nd place medal for Light Jig and another second for her Treble Jig. Both of these finishes were in U11 Beginner II, and it was Ellie’s first time competing in hard shoe!
Abby earned her 5th first in U12 Preliminary Championsihps! Way to go, Abby!
Mary earned firsts in both of her softshoe competitions, including both Reel and Slip Jig! She also earned a second in the Treble Jig. All of these finishes were for U15 Prizewinner competitions. She also earned 3rd of 20 in the Treble Reel!
Claire placed 3rd in the Reel, Slip Jig, and Traditional Set. All three of these placements were in 15&O Prizewinner competitions. She also placed second in the Treble Reel!
Delaney placed 3rd in U16 Preliminary Championships!
Kelly placed 4th in 16&O Preliminary Championships!
Megan earned 4 Adult Advanced Beginner/Novice firsts this weekend! Her firsts were in Reel, Slip Jig, Treble Jig, and Hornpipe! Way to bring it home, Megan!
Sara earned firsts in all 6 of her Open Adult firsts: Reel, Slip Jig, Single Jig, Treble Jig, Hornpipe, and Treble Reel!
And last but definitely not least, Carolyn brought home a first in Traditional Set (Open, Adult) and 2nds in the Hornpipe, Reel, and Treble Reel!
Congrats to Goode Dancer Claire, who proudly represented The Goode Academy alone at the Enchantment Feis in Albuquerque. While there she achieved firsts in the Slip Jig, Reel and Traditional Set!! Way to kick some bum, Claire!
Congrats are in order again for PC U18 dancer Kelly! She travelled all the way to Chicago last week and it was well worth the trip! Kelly placed 3rd of 13 dancers and we couldn’t be more proud of her. Great dancing, girl! What a way to kick some Mid-America Bum!
